BLACKPINK Jennie Presents New Song at Concert– Why Are Jisoo Fans Upset?
Global girl group BLACKPINK and fandom BLINKs had a blast on October 15 and 16 as the quartet finally kicked their world tour, “BORN PINK,” having Seoul as their first stop.
The two-night concert was special as this was the first time the quartet held a concert in about two years. Further, BLINKs weren’t the only ones who attended, but also celebrities who are close friends of the members.

To thank everyone who attended the concert, the four members gave their all, performing their hit tracks along with a live band, and even prepared solo stages.
Rosé and Lisa performed their songs from their solo EPs, Jennie stunned the audience with her new unreleased song, “Moonlight.”
As for Jisoo, she performed a cover of Camila Cabello’s “Liar.”
Fans were delighted by how the members’ individual charms stood out, but some Sooyas (Jisoo’s fans) weren’t happy.
Jennie, who debuted as a soloist in 2018, hinted at her possible solo return to the K-pop scene with her new song. This is in favor of Jensetters (Jennie’s fans), who have been waiting for her solo comeback.
But this upset Jisoo’s fans since she was initially the one who announced her solo debut.
Until today, fans are disappointed that YG is once again mistreating Jisoo, and wonder why Jennie can drop a new song at the concert, but Jisoo wasn’t able to release her debut EP.

First, during BLACKPINK promotions for the “BORN PINK” release, Jisoo’s fans noticed that the MV for the album’s title track “Shut Down” only showed three members in the thumbnail, excluding Jisoo. The main focus is Jennie, while Rosé and Lisa can be seen in the background.
Fans emphasized that it is much better if only Jennie was featured excluding the three. But non-fans might think BLACKPINK is a trio just based on the thumbnail.
Sooyas also pointed out that Jisoo’s clothes weren’t as well-prepared as the other members.

Following complaints, Jensetters and BLINKs criticized the Sooyas who opened this debate, since Jennie also deserves a new song, given that fans also waited for four years. BLINKs also said that it shouldn’t be a problem since it seems like Jisoo is supportive of it.
In the end, BLINKs who support all four members reminded the solo stans that BLACKPINK deserves each of their releases, as they worked hard for it. Some Sooyas agreed and clarified that they are only frustrated with YG since there’s little to no update about Jisoo’s solo, which they have been waiting for more than six years.
