Recently, another BLACKPINK song was featured in the well-loved show “The Simpsons.”
On Nov. 13, the 7th episode of the 34th season of “The Simpsons” aired. At one point during the episode, the characters were in a car traveling somewhere. Lisa is sitting in the back of the car, while her dad, Homer, is driving.

During the journey, Homer asked Lisa if she wants to listen to jazz, which is her most favorite music genre. But she replied, “I’m not in the mood for jazz. Let’s listen to my second favorite.”
Her dad tried to guess what it could be, naming genres like salsa, old-school rap, and others. Lisa then stated, “I like K-pop, dad,” and Homer pretends that he knew it all along.

Right after that, Lisa, Homer, and Duff Man started singing and dancing to none other than BLACKPINK’s “Lovesick Girls.”
Of course, BLINK (BLACKPINK’s fan club) and netizens recognized the song since it’s one of the quartet’s iconic songs, with catchy lyrics, an addicting melody, and amazing choreography.

While the episode was airing, the executive producer of “The Simpsons” tweeted, “Lisa loves Lovesick Girls by Blackpink” and included the link to the music video for the song.

Additionally, the official Twitter account of “The Simpsons” took to Twitter to share a clip of the character Lisa saying that she’s into K-pop, and wrote, “Blink if you’re a netizen,” referencing BLACKPINK’s fandom, BLINK.

“BOOMBAYAH” is now the group’s third music video to exceed 1.5 billion views on YouTube, following “DDU-DU DDU-DU” and “Kill This Love.” With this, BLACKPINK has become the first K-pop artist in history to have three different MVs with 1.5 billion views.
BLACKPINK’s “BOOMBAYAH” MV was first released on Aug. 8, 2016 at 8 p.m. KST, meaning it took the video to obtain the feat in six years, three months, and three days.
