When the program’s hosts and guests asked who among the famous K-pop groups he trained before, Kim Min Gyu then answered:

The “Backstreet Rookie” star further explained that he only trained for a month and eventually stopped because he found himself not that good in singing and was also bad in dancing.

But ever since, Kim Min Gyu has that desire to pursue acting, and that’s where he focused on.

SEVENTEEN is currently one of K-pop’s top groups. They continue to dominate music and album charts both in Korea and abroad. The boy group just had their comeback with “Face the Sun” last May 27 and are now preparing for their world tour that will kick off in Seoul this coming June 25-26 at Gocheok Sky Dome.

Meanwhile, Kim Min Gyu’s former co-star Ahn Hyo Seop also had the same journey with him.

Before debuting as an actor, Ahn Hyo Seop attended extensive idol training with the group GOT7. But due to other circumstances, the model-actor was not able to debut with the septet.

But even though the “Business Proposal” actors did not make it to K-pop industry, Kim Min Gyu and Ahn Hyo Seop have made a name for themselves in the acting industry.
