NCT Dream “Hello Future” is the Most Viewed K-pop Music Video in Week 27 of 2021

In the past week, NCT Dream’s new title track “Hello Future” received the highest views among the new and old K-pop MVs.

Released on June 28, NCT Dream’s “Hello Future” is a hip-hop dance song with an energetic synth sound and trap rhythm. This bright track conveys a message of conquering struggles to improve together with love and trust.

According to K-pop Radar, a fandom data observing platform, NCT Dream’s “Hello Future” accumulated almost 42 million views on YouTube. To be exact, a total of 41,999,523 views were recorded.

“Hello Future” is the only K-pop music video to reach 40 million views in the past week, and NCT Dream is the only fourth-generation boy group in the rankings.

According to K-pop Radar’s analysis, from June 26 to July 3, NCT Dream received about 72 million YouTube views across all their music videos.

Among the viewers come from Indonesia, which has the largest contribution (24.8%), India with 11.3%, Thailand with 7.6%, South Korea with 6.8%, and Vietnam with 5.2%.

Other South American countries, such as Brazil and Mexico, showed a share of more than 15% in YouTube views.

BTS “Butter” is the Second Most Viewed K-pop Music Video in Week 27 of 2021

Coming in second place is BTS’s new English-language single, “Butter.” This track has now spent seven consecutive weeks inside the Top 5 of K-pop Radar’s weekly list of Top 10 most-viewed K-pop MVs

From June 27 to July 3, BTS’s “Butter” gained additional views of 22,190,736 on YouTube, according to K-pop Radar.

On June 28 at around 11 p.m. KST, “Butter” reached 400 million views. It is BTS’s 13th music video to do so.

The MV took 38 days and 10 hours to attain the milestone, becoming the seventh-fastest music video of any artist around the world to hit the mark in history.

LOONA “PTT (Paint The Town)” is the Most Viewed K-pop Girl Group Music Video in Week 27 of 2021

Grabbing third place is LOONA’s new song “PTT (Paint The Town),” which is another new entry on the list. This means it was the most-viewed K-pop girl group MV during the 27th week of 2021.

Based on the calculation of K-pop Radar, “PTT (Paint The Town)” had a total of 21,988,282 views on YouTube.

For the past seven days, LOONA’s “PTT (Paint The Town)” is the most-viewed female K-pop music video on YouTube. On July 5, the MV had additional views of 3,145,134, the highest among K-pop MVs.
